Tooth Mousse has been on the market for over the past 10 years and is only sold at dental surgeries as a tube of white paste in four different flavours. Although it is a paste, it is not used with a toothbrush like normal toothpaste, but is rather applied by placing a pea sized drop on your finger and rubbing it all over your teeth. This can be done as often as one likes during the day, but is most effective when used at night just before going to bed. After normal brushing, the paste is applied as described and then flossed between all teeth. Spit out the excess and then off to bed. The Tooth Mousse is non toxic and the only contra-indication to it's use is if you have a milk protein allergy. |
Tooth Mousse contains Calcium and Phosphate in high concentrations in a bio-available form - a form that can be used by your body (CPP-ACP).Calcium and phosphate are the building blocks of enamel, and due to their high concentration are driven back into the weak spots in your teeth, where calcium and phosphate were previously been removed by the acid forming plaque. It's primary use is in the reversing of weak spots, thus preventing the formation of larger cavities from these weak spots.
Tooth Mousse also rapidly neutralises plaque acids, preventing further acid attack on your teeth, and has the potential to alter the optical characteristics of enamel, lightening enamel in the process. Tooth Mousse is also used for removal of white spot lesions on tooth surfaces. These white spots lesions are nothing more than trapped water in the enamel, and with regular use, the water is replaced by Calcium and Phosphate, removing the white spots. Tooth Mousse is also excellent for reducing tooth sensitivity due to exposed root surfaces following gingival recession.
Anyone with dental restorations should be using Tooth Mousse as it will assist as an adjunct to flossing in keeping the filling margins decay free with regular use. Ask your Dentist or Oral Hygienist for more info.
